Busy Busy Busy

Why is life never straight forward - I'm not complaining, but this photo below is an example of what I mean.

As a radio producer I would usually be on location to record Radio 4 Living World programmes, however because of other workload commitments, a colleague went to Coquet Island off the Northumberland coast yesterday to record a programme for me on Roseate Terns. The day before he'd been in Perthshire with Pine Martens. Luckily the presenter Trai Anfield is a good at directing herself. Just look at the weather?!?!?!

Meanwhile I was in Bristol, in an air conditioned windowless studio making another series called Shared Planet, again for Radio 4, with the gardener, presenter, Monty Don . It's a busy time, I'm loving it, but I'm just running out of time to write a blog. So I'll try and write snippets now and again, prove I'm still breathing.

I'll leave you with some links to the programmes I'm working on;

Shared Planet - latest episode on urban wildlife - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b036k7d8

And Living World - the run begins on July 28th with pine marten, followed by roseate tern, glow worms and finally nightjars. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qyz3

More soon - hope you're enjoying the sunshine in the UK

  1. You have been busy Andrew - thanks so much for the links to programme information. I have been really enjoying the Shared Planet and look forward to the return of The Living World - sounds like its going to be another brilliant series :)

    Blogging is very time consuming (at times I wish I had never joined Twitter!!! and I am steering well clear of Facebook!!) but hope you get time for a few snippets :)
