Stunning Kingfisher Photo....

Sadly dear blogger I am unable to take responsibility, or credit or anything for this fabulous photo of a kingfisher.

Ian Llewellyn is an emerging Wildlife cameraman photographer based here in Bristol. This morning amongst the deluge of work e-mails was this absolutely stunning photo Ian has recently taken. I asked him if I could share it with the bloggers out there, he was more than happy.

It's hoped that he will soon have a book published about this remarkable bird, I was asked to add a piece on my first Kingfisher encounter. Once it is I'm sure Ian will allow me to publicise its publication on the blog.

In the meantime, just sit back and admire this photo. I've left it fairly large, so it's worth a click to enlarge the photo to see the detail.

  1. That's probably the best picture of a Kingfisher I've seen; congrats to Ian Llewellyn for the capture and thanks to you Border for showing it.

    Stunning!

I hope he enters that into competitions as that shot deserves awards and praise.
Does he have a web page as i would love to view his other work.

  4. Hi Tricia, Mrsl and ST, my sentiments exactly. Ian says he doesn't publicise his work much, I'll do some investigation.

And of course will enjoy seeing Mrsl's knitting creation of this photo soon :-)

Ian has captured that moment beautifully - I have never seen a Kingfisher shot like it either! How wonderful he allowed you to share it with us :-D

  6. As my previous comment said, it is stunning. Makes my rubbish photos look even more rubbish. Mind you he is a specialist and this one will have taken weeks to set up I should imagine
