Does anyone have a photo of....

This is a strange posting, because I'm on the scrounge. Basically and I'll not say too much on the blog, but I'm looking on behalf of a colleague photographs of 3 birds, Cetti's Warbler, Spotted Crake and Common Sandpiper.

What my colleague is looking for are free to use photos (ie no fee is available for use), which will be used as thumbnails on a website; click on the thumbnail and listen to some audio clips. We've been down the RSPB route etc, but these three are elusive little fellas. Any images used can be credited on the website.

If you have an image, know of someone who has and willing to help etc, please drop me an e-mail, and I can explain more.

  2. Hi Andrew, I see Warren has a suggestion but I think Keith at http://holdingmoments.blogspot.com/ may also help with the Common Sand Piper he has some nice ones. I think they are on his post of April 19. He may well help you.

  3. Andrew try doing an advanced search on Flickr with the Creative Commons content box and the commercial use boxes checked and see what pops up. Anything found should be clear for commercial use, although you can check on each image for the indvidual licence type.

  4. I've got Spotted Crake and Cetti's. Not sure if they would fit the bill, but I can send on versions of the right size if you think they might. Have a look here http://picasaweb.google.com/Wildsnaps

  6. You might have everything now, but in the future you might want to have a look at Wikipedia's Commons License pics:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Sandpiper

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotted_Crake

Plenty of pics. Just click on the pic to see the license information. I use them all the time when I don't have a particular picture to hand.
