Today I thought I'd just put on the blog the press release from the BTO and other organisations outlining the changes in birding behaviour with global warming. As it was embargoed before midnight last night I couldn't put anything on the blog until now. It's interesting reading and as a press release gives the salient points. Therefore I shall leave it in it's entirety for you to read at leisure.
Those of you may also not know that separate to this, but linked due to climate change, Cattle Egrets bred in Somerset this year for the first time. They did attempt breeding last year, but without success.
Finally I'm still wavering about going to the Bird Fair this weekend. But if you are going, pop along to the Bird Guides stall, and see Jack Wylson. He's just edited a new video guide to British Birds which is being released there. It's a 130 species beginners version. The full 270 species version we're releasing in the autumn, plus a butterfly DVD of all UK species.
